Skip approval steps if vacation approver is document originator
Symptoms:
One of the workflow rules is that if the originator of a document is one of the approvers on the document, then we consider the document approved up to that level, and all approval steps up to that point are not shown in the Expected Steps. It is necessary to be able to expand this rule so that if the originator is set up for vacation approval for an approver, the same rule applies.
Solution:
Optionally change the behavior of the workflow rule where if the originator of a document is an approver then skip all approvals up to that approval step. If the WORKFLOW / ORIG_VACATION_APPROVER flag is set to “Y” then also skip the steps if the originator is a vacation approver.
