Asset Problems
Symptoms:
When the depreciation method of an asset is changed from Units of Production to another method the asset remains in the assetuopgroup table. Fiscal period error will occur for straight line assets if the last depreciation period is in February of a leap year and the fiscal periods for that year have not been entered into the system. Origin records from previous asset save are being saved on the add of next asset.
Solution:
An asset is removed from the uop group when both the depreciation method and tax depreciation method are no longer units of production. The fiscal period error has been resolved by putting special code to handle leap years into the asset FiscalPeriod function. The Origin records problem has also been resolved by clearing the property containing origin records in the load object for an asset.
